When exploring my relationship and fascination with wood, I realized that one of the primary pulls of the material is the tendency to layer. These layers marked seasons, weather, local histories and events specific to each tree. Through a process of consecutive dips in ceramic shell and wax, I built up my own language of layers in bronze. This is a study for a larger piece.

Entire roll measures 6″ diameter, 10″ long.
